Minutes of the Newton Servicemen's Welfare Fund Committee Jan to Sept 1940

Just catching up here on transcribing the Minutes of the Committee. We start to see more names not only of committee members but also of the men who have joined up or been drafted. And we see the progress of the door to door collections, the funds donated, the Postal Orders sent to the servicemen and the beginning of a sock knitting project. Sorry there are no photos to break up the script so if you have photos of any of the men named, please submit them...a picture paints a thousand words....
